Bath Philatelic Society

Bath Philatelic Society was formed Dec 1906  and is one of the earliest stamp clubs in the U.K. The membership has varying interests, some collect at a very high level and are consulted by specialist societies others have philatelic collections that are just at the begining of the journey.

We have members who collect traditionally and amongst them we have Great Britain, China, Sudan , France, India, Hong Kong & Gulf States collectors. They may have a specialist, a single reign/period or have a general collection.

Others collect by subject or theme and we have railway, airmail, maritime mail, & Boer War studies. Some are just part of a larger collection but others are stand alone. There is an well run stamp box system which members can purchase items from.

Our members also collect various revenues, cinderellas (stamps that do not fulfil postage or revenue purposes) or postcards. They come from a wide area, not only the City of Bath, but collectors from the surrounding towns and villages - all are welcome.
